The first weekend of August in Tartu offers especially memorable experiences for foodies because the largest food and wine party in Southern Estonia takes place, combining unique flavours with excellent wines.
On the main days of the festival, August 4 and 5, everyone is invited to the centre of Tartu where the food area is set up on Vabaduse boulevard. You can enjoy both new and familiar flavours – dine in great pop-up restaurants or take a light snack from a food truck to enjoy at the picnic area.
On July 31 and August 1, a jury will choose representative wines for the city in four categories, and everyone will have the opportunity to taste the best of each category at the food area! You can taste all the recognised city wines at the wine area.
