On the first weekend of August, Tartu celebrates Estonian food, our local fresh produce and excellent wine with Tartu Food and Wine Festival.

During the 3-day festival, small producers from South Estonia as well as pop-up restaurants offer the best seasonal bounties of nature and delicious taste experiences. At the wine area, everyone can participate in the open tasting events and get advice from the best Estonian sommeliers.

In addition to authentic Estonian flavours and the finest wines, the festivities include concerts, workshops and various family-friendly entertainment programmes. The third day of the festival is dedicated to the enthusiastic and generous community members in Tammelinn who welcome visitors to their homes for tasty treats in the pop-up cafes.

Traditionally, Tartu City Wine will be chosen during the festival. The festival’s host is Joel Ostrat.
